In recent years there has been some unfortunate lopsided game situations arise in the House League divisions. This happens when a team comes to Peterborough Liftlock U11 Hockey Tournament and dominates every team in their division winning some games by double digits. These games aren’t fun for anyone especially the team on the losing end.

When teams within 50 Kms enter the Peterborough Liftlock U11 Hockey Tournament, the organizers and schedulers try to research the teams to determine their skill level. This is done primarily through checking their local hockey websites and standings. We also reach out to teams and associations to try to gather relevant information to make the divisions equitable. The teams/centers furthest away are the most challenging to get an accurate assessment of their skill level.

In an effort to simplify this procedure this policy will be in place for the Peterborough Liftlock U11 Hockey Tournament.
